Creating your first product

In order to start selling a product with Vendr, you first need to create one. Creating a product requires that you have the following before you begin…

• A Vendr hub - see Getting Started for how to set up a Vendr hub
• A developer product ID - this controls the price of the product
• A file, link, and/or a body of text, selecting none will skip the product file part

Running the command

In your server, run the /create command with Vendr, followed by the name of your product and the type of file you will be uploading. Make sure you include any optional parameters you want to set before running the command.

Once you run the command, you’ll be greeted with a prompt that will ask you if you agree to the conditions in the embed.

Requirements

If you would like us to whitelist and obfuscate your file then it must be exported and uploaded in the .rbxmx format otherwise you will have to whitelist the product yourself by running /obfuscate.

Disclaimer

By uploading a product, you agree to the Terms of Service set by onPoint. Products will receive an automated background check before being put on sale, malicious files or links will result in a blacklist from onPoint and it's services.

Before proceeding

It is highly recommended that you run this command in a private channel so that customers can't see the details of your latest product, no one other than you will have access to the file if one is uploaded though.

If you agree to the conditions, you may proceed with the wizard by clicking ‘Continue’

If you have any tags you wish to add to your product, please select those tags now, otherwise you may skip and proceed with the wizard. Tags can be added later if you wish.

Depending on which file type you selected, instructions may vary. See the sections below to see how to finish creating a product based on your chosen file type.

• File

  Vendr will send you a DM to prompt you to upload the file you wish to use for the product. It is recommended that you have the file beforehand to quickly upload the product and avoid the prompt timing out. If you do not wish to proceed with the process, just send 'cancel' otherwise Vendr will direct you back to the channel where you first ran the command.

• Link

  Vendr will send you a DM to prompt you to paste a link. Make sure you have this link beforehand to avoid the bot from timing out. All links must start with http:// or https://. If you do not wish to proceed with the process, just send 'cancel' otherwise Vendr will direct you back to the channel where you first ran the command.

• Text

  Vendr will send you a DM to prompt you to paste or enter some text that you may wish to use for the product. To avoid the bot from timing out, ensure you have your body of text ready beforehand. If you do not wish to proceed with the process, just send 'cancel' otherwise Vendr will direct you back to the channel where you first ran the command.

• None

  There aren’t any special instructions for setting up a product without any file, you may continue with the product creation wizard.

Wrapping up

Vendr will ask you to confirm that the product details are accurate in regards to the product you just finished creating. By choosing confirm, your product will immediately be published and go live on your Vendr hub where customers may buy the product right from your store.
